Relaxation Through Mantras
A mantra is a word, or a collection of syllables that you will recite in
repetition with the goal of reaching a deep state of relaxation. Typically
the word you use will be one or two syllables only, and will be meaningless
in everyday language - this will mean that you have no external associations
with it.
The act of chanting your mantra is "mantra meditation", and can bring
deep relaxation and inner peace. Once you have learn how to do it, you will
find you can use the technique anywhere - on the train to work, at the
office, in the garden etc.
